Winemaking Notes: Massimo insists that this clone of Tempranillo is the real one used in the rest of Spain and not the industrial version developed and planted across Catalunya by Torres. Short maceration before pressing into stainless steel where it aged for a few months before release. This is Tempranillo Nouveau at its finest.

About the Name: Tempranillo is referred to as Ull de Llebre in Catalunya, which means "eye of the hare." Funny enough, Massimo of Partida Creus has eyes but no hair. He and his partner Antonella (yes, they’re Italian) have been making wine in the Baix Penedès region for about 20 years, focusing on native grape varieties and natural wine made without additives of any kind. Put bluntly, they put the ability in drinkability.
