Subliminal is a partnership between the Parientes (Nomadic Distribution) and the Porters (Amplify Wines). Their fourth vintage of Subliminal, Amplify is now referring to this as a red table wine rather than purely Cabernet Sauvignon; a more complete, complex wine with a larger percentage of Merlot in the mix. While it is still predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon, they have upped the Merlot to provide more textural breadth as well as a broader spectrum of aromatics. Fruit is sourced from 3 different sites, all of which are organically farmed: My Friend Matt’s Vineyard, Giff’s Vineyard, and Coquelicot Vineyard.

Winemaking Notes: Fermentation occurs spontaneously with indigenous yeast. The wine is aged for 12 months in 100% neutral French oak. It is not fined or filtered.

Tasting Notes: This is a drink-me-now red wine that is juicy, fresh, and already showing more complex secondary aromatics such as dried herbs, freshly-sharpened pencil, and earth. Yum, yum, and yum. This is a new side of California Cabernet-Merlot blend that will carry you from summer BBQs to winter braises.
