Cerveceria Allende is a 100% Mexican business aiming to produce high quality craft beers using traditional techniques in order to represent their strong commitment and love towards Mexico. Their goal is to provide a new opportunity to experience the history, colors, flavors and traditions of a Mexico that you have never seen before.

It all started in December 2013. A brief trip to NYC left Rodrigo Moncada (CEO) fascinated with the craft beer industry, and, from that moment on, he felt committed to make the greatest Mexican craft beer. At the time, he knew nothing about beer other than Corona was a very big company. Luckily, Rodrigo met Carlos Garay, the current brew master, who was a passionate homebrewer with many years of experience and was looking for chance to start brewing professionally.

The city of San Miguel de Allende was chosen as the home for the brewery for several reasons. Rodrigo wanted his brewery to be meaningful to Mexicans and close to Mexico City. He wanted a place that sourced its water from natural wells. San Miguel de Allende was the best and only option. The city were the independence movement against Spain started in 1810 would be the home for a new type of independence: beer independence.
