Vineyard Notes: : Grapes are sourced from a single, sustainably farmed 6 acre vineyard planted in 1972. The vineyard is located at 3,450 feet above sea level in the Tupungato sub-region of the Uco Valley in Mendoza.

Winemaking Notes: The wine is macerated with the stems, then fermented with native yeasts before aging for 5 months on its lees in concrete egg.

Tasting Notes: Via Revolucionaria's 2019 Criolla Grande is very light in color and body and is an extremely easy drinking, thirst quenching wine. Tart raspberry is complemented by a bit of rusticity with hints of sage. Serve chilled.

About Criolla Grande: The Criolla Grande grape is believed to be a crossing of Criolla Chica (aka Listán Prieto/Mission/Pais) and Muscat of Alexandria. The grape has pink skin and is more thick than its Chilean cousin, Pais and has softer tannins but similar fruit flavors and earthy notes. Criolla Grande is the 4th most widely planted grape in Argentina, though few of the wines made from it are exported.
