Winemaking Notes: Semi-carbonic maceration occurred spontaneously in fiberglass tank with native yeast. Julien Sunier aged the wine on its fine lees in a 3,000-liter concrete egg (no oxygen exposure). 10mg of SO2 was added before bottling. The wine was not filtered.

Tasting Notes: Sunier's Wild Soul is an unpretentious, light juicy red wine that is meant for everyday drinking. It is fresh and pure, offering all the fabulous Gamay aromatics and textures.

    The 2020 Beaujolais-Lantignié Wild Soul wafts from the glass with aromas of red berries, spices, peonies and sweet soil tones. Medium-bodied, lively and supple, with melting tannins and a natural profile that lives up to its name, it concludes with a sapid finish. It's a blend of purchased grapes and declassified Régnié and was matured in foudre.
