Heidi Barrett’s Tasting Notes: "This Cabernet Franc is deeply pigmented and rich. Aromas remind me of blueberry pie with a nice touch of toasty French oak. Ripe and peppery from nose to palate. One of the best Cab Francs we have made. Dense concentrated flavors, black fruit driven with impression of cocoa powder, dark chocolate, and olallieberry. Delicious."
Vineyard Notes: The Paradigm vineyard lies between the Yountville Hill and the foothills of the Mayacamas Mountains. The vineyard includes 38 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon, 10 acres of Merlot, 2 acres of Cabernet Franc, 1.5 acres of Zinfandel and 1 acre of Petit Verdot. he vineyard lies solely on a northeast trending alluvial fan. A random sampling of 100 pebbles indicates over 95 percent of the rock fragments are volcanic. Rare but distinctive quartz rich sandstone were sampled. Read more about the terroir here .
