Vineyard Notes: Camins del Priorat is sourced from a combination of estate vineyards and purchased grapes. All the vineyards are in and around the village of Gratallops.

Winemaking Notes: The grapes are destemmed and softly crushed. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel, cement and large wooden vats with native yeast. The wine ages for 4 months in barrels and wooden vats before bottling.

History of Camins: The evolving seriousness of Terrasses eventually left room for 'Camins del Priorat.' Alvaro Palacios had never wanted to be known solely for expensive "trophy" wines, and with Camins, he found the opportunity to create something special. Drawing on his wealth of vineyard sources, Alvaro is aiming to produce a wine that is affordably priced, but which also stays true to his vision of Priorat-powerful but elegant, approachable but restrained.

91pts (2018 Vintage) Wine Advocate 8/30/2019
" It's young and fruit-driven with some herbal hints from the French grapes, which were picked early, intermixed with licorice and fennel. It's nicely textured, happy and fresh, juicy, clean and with no noticeable oak. It has a modern and clean profile. The tannins are soft and round. It's like a more concentrated version of 2016 and 2014, both cool years. Easy to drink and very pleasant."

This wine showcases the power and concentration of 2019, an extraordinarily warm and dry year, but the wine has great finesse. There are more balsamic aromas from the Bordeaux varieties, which incredibly didn't dehydrate that year: the leaves took a long time to turn yellow. There are notes of licorice and something balsamic. This is juicy and chewy, powerful, with muscle, pungent and intense but with great balance and very clean. This is the most modern and international of their wines, with a showy profile. A triumph over the conditions of the vintage.
