The Mademoiselle M is produced from Sauvignon Blanc grown on silex soil. It is a bit more vertical than Alexandre's other two cuvees, with hints of flint on the nose. Since it goes through malolactic fermentation and is picked at the peek of ripeness, there are some tropical fruit flavors and richness on the palate. The style of the wine could be compared to Sebastien Riffault’s wines. They both seek peak ripeness of Sauvignon Blanc by picking their grapes much later than the rest of the producers in the region. Thus, the wines are quite different from the classic Pouilly-Fumé style--richer, more aromatic and dense.
