Vineyard Notes: Grapes come from 3 different parcels located at different altitudes throughout the high-elevation Gualtallary subzone in order to show the character and terroir of this exciting new region.

Winemaking Notes: The Malbec and Cabernet Franc are co-fermented with 30% stem inclusion of the Malbec only. Wine is fermented with indigenous yeasts before aging in barrel for 18 months.

90pts (2019 Vintage) Wine Advocate 3/31/2021
"The red 2019 GY is a blend of 60% Malbec and 40% Cabernet Franc that fermented with some full clusters and matured in oak vat and used barrels for 12 months. It's 13.5% alcohol and has healthy acidity (it was a cool and healthy vintage), but I found some fountain pen ink and leather aromas that blurred the nose—they reckon it's the combination of the Cabernet Franc and the stems that sometimes give this faint animal note. The palate is dry with some chalky tannins. It finishes dry."
