The Viognier grapes are sourced from various parcels of old vines that immediately adjoin Condrieu. The broken down granite soils, similar to those of Condrieu, produce immensely fragrant Viognier, rich with the captivating scent of white blossom, peach and apricot. It is richly exotic with mouth-filling white peach and a long honeysuckle finish. Pair with summer salads, vegetable stir fry and fusion cuisine that combines seafood with fruits and exotic herbs and spices. This wine is vinified and aged in stainless steel. It is not fined or filtered.

  • The Wine Advocate
    Rating: (88-90) (12/19/2019)

Tasted from tank prior to bottling, the 2018 IGP Collines Rhodaniennes les Lezardes Viognier shows its characteristic restraint and tightness. It's a bit floral and spicy on the nose but otherwise reined in, while the medium to full-bodied palate shows a pleasant fleshiness and decent length.

    Rating: 90 (12/12/2019)

The 2018 Vin De Pays Des Collines Rhodaniennes Les Lezardes Blanc is even better, with rocking levels of white peach, crushed citrus, and a touch of minerality. It’s a medium-bodied, textured, baby Condrieu that sells for a song. Drink it over the coming year or two.
  • Vinous
    Rating: 91 (5/28/2020)

Bright and focused on the fragrant nose, displaying fresh green apple, melon and tangerine scents and a touch of florality. Juicy and taut on the palate, offering tangy citrus and orchard fruit flavors and a late, deeper suggestion of white peach. Finishes long and precise, with a repeating floral note and a touch of candied ginger.
