Winemaking Notes: The Chenin Blanc was harvested in the cool, early morning hours and promptly delivered to the winery for immediate pressing. The fruit was gently whole-cluster pressed to minimize phenolics and solids. The settled juice was racked off the solids then fermented slowly in a stainless steel tank over an extended period of time at cool temperatures to yield rich and fruity flavors. Upon completion the wine was fermented to dryness, cold stabilized, and filtered.

Tasting Notes: This fresh and vibrant Chenin Blanc shows highly expressive aromatics of citrus blossom, passion fruit, slate and stone fruit with flavors of yellow apple on a crisp mineral finish.

    Rating: 89 (12/3/2019)

Aromas of pear, licorice, honey and flowers lifted by citrus zest. A penetrating, cool-fermented style of Chenin Blanc, offering tightly wound, uncompromisingly dry flavors of grapefruit, honey and flowers. Strong acidity extends the finish. Owner Marty Clubb told me that the winery changed the style of this wine about five years ago and that the last two vintages have been bone-dry.
  • The Wine Advocate
    Rating: 88 (5/21/2020)

With aromas of citrus and tropical fruits at its core, the 2018 Chenin Blanc Old Vines shows an aromatically lifted expression in the glass. Medium-bodied, the wine has a waxy texture with flavors of lemon curd and pineapple cake, ending with a straightforward yet lingering and pleasurable finish. For the price, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a better value.
