Winemaking Notes: The Avonlea Chardonnay is a barrel-fermented wine using Burgundy yeast. The wine is aged for around 18 months in a combination of used and new French oak. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation.
Tasting Notes: This Chardonnay is rich and creamy showing notes of golden delicious apple, buttery lemon curd, vanilla custard and hazelnut. It is a lovely pairing for the Midwest fall and winter seasons.
