This delicate wine, created in the 1950s, was one of the first ever rosé champagnes. It is also one of the most well-loved, particularly for its freshness that echoes Lanson Black Label.

Winemaking Notes: Wines from different plots are vinified separately. No malolactic fermentation occurs. Through numerous tasting sessions they are assessed and classed according to their aromatic family. Blending is the art of creating a wine that is superior to the sum of its parts. The richness of the grape varieties and crus is complemented by the richness of different years. Adding reserve wines helps to amplify the quality of young wines. The Rose Label is composed of reserve wines and more than 10 different years of harvests. The wine is left to age in the cellar for at least three years before release.

Tasting Notes: Lanson Rose Label is a beautiful salmon color with small, brilliant bubbles. The delicate nose recalls aromas of roses and red berries. On the palate, the impact is gentle leading into a very long finish. It seduces with its unfaltering originality and a harmonious balance alternating between roundness and freshness.

    Rating: 88 (6/29/2016)

It is pure, fresh and very elegant on the nose, as well as on the palate. This is a lean and stimulating Rosé with a straightforward character and nice grip in the finish. It drinks pretty well today, but there is no reason to hurry in drinking all you can get.

Pale orange. Fresh redcurrant and tangerine aromas are complemented by talc and allspice, with a seductive floral quality building in the glass. Lively and focused on the palate, displaying nervy citrus and red berry flavors and an undercurrent of chalky minerals. Finishes with very good clarity, grip and tangy persistence, the red fruit and mineral notes repeating.

    Rating: 92 (11/15/2017)

A racy streak of tangy mineral underscores the flavors of pink grapefruit granita and slivered almond in this vibrant version, with hints of toast and orchard blossom. Well-knit and elegant, with a lasting, spiced finish. Disgorged July 2016. Drink now through 2022.

Disgorged in February 2018, the latest release of the NV Brut Rosé Rose Label exhibits aromas of orange rind and red berries, followed by a medium-bodied, delicate palate that's clean and uncomplicated.
