|Cape Route 2017 Chenin Blanc, Western Cape||Login||—||In Stock|
Cape Route is the creation of South African brothers Ernst and Hannes Storm. Born in Hermanus, near Cape Town in the famed Walker Bay appellation, Ernst landed in California in 2003 and has since honed a mix of modern techniques alongside the hand-crafted methods of the Cape, where he and Hannes continue to co-create wines. It didn’t take long before Ernst was named as one of the most promising winemakers in California.
To ensure a graceful equilibrium for this white, Ernst sources Chenin Blanc from the two diverging climates of Robertson and Stellenbosch. The cooler zone fosters a leaner grape, while the warmer climate promotes riper, rounder fruit. Just like the meandering, scenic road it’s named for — a stretch of the longest wine route on Earth! — Cape Route is one of South Africa’s best-kept secrets.
Cape Route is made by Winc.
