Funk Zone 2019 Red Blend, Santa Barbara County Login In Stock

"Funk is fun, but it's also a state of mind." - George Clinton

Funk Zone embodies the experimental spirit of Santa Barbara County winemaking with unique, boundary-pushing blends.

Santa Barbara wine country literally is situated sideways; along the Pacific Coast, it’s the longest transverse valley (meaning the mountains run East to West) between Alaska and South America. This unique region creates the perfect climate for growing cool climate varietals (like Pinot Noir and Chardonnay). The region features a wide diversity of microclimates and soil types, allowing it to be home to over 50 different varietals. The name for this brand was inspired by downtown Santa Barbara’s Funk Zone; a unique urban-microclimate of converted warehouses-turned boutique tasting rooms and galleries. Featuring street murals, an urban wine trail of over 20+ tasting rooms, and surf shops, the Funk Zone is known as the “wine ghetto” of Santa Barbara and is a testament to the innovative wines emerging from the region.

Funk Zone wines are made by Winc. The Funk Zone labels are designed for Winc by Venice artist Kelcey Fisher, who has painted several prominent murals in and around Los Angeles.
