To taste Roses de Jeanne is to discover the spirit and the inimitable style of micro-soil, which is by its small surface, worked with a special attention "to meature," just as the great dressmakers take care of their creations.

Winemaking Notes: Once harvested, the grapes are squeezed three times; the first press, which is the best quality and has the richest aroma, is kept. After fermentation, the wine is not filtered but purified with the old method of natural purification that is considered the most appropriate to this level of quality.

The 2009 Roses de Jeanne Coteaux Champenois Les Ursules (Pinot Noir) (Blanc) is one of the most fascinating wines I have ever tasted from Champagne. The hot vintage seems to have favored Pinot over Chardonnay. Mineral-laced red berries, mint and flowers come together in this beautiful, mid-weight wine.
