Fermentation Notes: The grapes spend around 9 days on the skins with manual punch downs. The wine ages on its fine lees in large used barrels and stainless steel tanks.

Tasting Notes: The Meinklang Blauburgunder has aromas reminiscent to an autumnal forest walk. Earth and delicate smoke combine with fresh, juicy tannins to fill the mouth. It is perhaps the most elegant of their red wines. This wine goes well with game and mushroom dishes.

90pts (2017 Vintage) Wine Spectator 5/31/2019
"This red features seductive dark fruit aromas and flavors of blueberry, mulberry, violet and mineral, with a silky texture and vibrant structure. Balanced and very delicious now, and although this has potential, I'd prefer to enjoy it sooner rather than later. Drink now through 2024."
