This young, unpasteurized sake is made with a strain of the No. 7 yeast discovered at Masumi's brewery 70 years ago. Practically exploding with flavor, the Masumi Arabashiri pairs well with robust foods―even Cuban and Brazilian fare. It is smooth and round with juicy semi-rich flavors that normally come with careful aging. Enjoy honeydew melon, pear, apple, white grape, and a hint of grapefruit. It is both floral and fruity. Important: this sake is unpasteurized and needs to be kept refrigerated at all times and serve chilled.

Arabashiri means free run. Click for an explanation of this process.

According to Truesake.com , the Masumi Arabashiri is "one of the most popular and longest standing exported namasake in the business...There are some sake that when you drink them it makes your mouth happy, and this nama is one of those."
