Vineyard Notes: The age of the vines ranges between 10 and 40 years. The vineyard is between 1 and 2 hectares in size. It is not irrigated. It is located on the Gipuzkoa Coast (Spain) with the Cantabrian Sea to the north. The winery's vineyard parcels are established on the gentle, rounded hills alternating with small valleys; hills which stand 90 meters above sea level and come to an abrupt halt at the coast. In order to avoid high humidity related problems, the parcels are located on the sunniest and windiest slopes that are well-drained.
Winemaking Notes: Harvest is done by hand. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks with indigenous yeast and lasts for about 20 days. Wine undergoes malolactic fermentation. Wine is cold stabilized and filtered.
Tasting Notes: This rosé wine is naturally slightly sparkling. The high acidity of this wine brings freshness on the palate. It displays potent and wild fruit aromas and silky strawberry. This wine is clean, bright and expressive. It is a great wine to drink alone or pair with cheese, rice, poultry, white meats and fish.

"Txakolina is the refreshing wine of choice in the Basque region of northern Spain, and has proved resoundingly popular in the United States, especially the rosés. The Antxiola, pale salmon in color, smells like red berries and is mildly effervescent. On the palate, however, the wine tastes as if the grapes, grown on the southern edge of the Bay of Biscay, were hit by blasts of salt sea air. At just 11 percent alcohol, this would be a good lunch wine."
