Winemaking Notes: Corvina and Rondinella vinify separately. A third of the grapes are directly pressed. The rest are given a cool-temperature, 6-8 hour maceration on the skins, which extracts just enough color to provide a lively, medium-bodied hue to the juice. The must then ferments at a cool 17°C. The finished wine matures on the fine lees in 50hl stainless steel tanks until the following spring when it is bottled.

"Dollar for dollar, the season's pink winner. Matilde Poggi's organically farmed red Bardolino, from near the shores of Lake Garda not far from Verona, is one of my favorite light reds right now. This is Poggi's rose-hued take on a classic Veneto wine, all you could want in a summer bottle: Bardolino's peony-like flair, with juicy raspberry and tangerine, and the depth great rosé should have. Versatile as they come."

"This classic Italian pink wine [Bardolino Chiaretto] from the shores of Lake Garda was on trend before anyone knew what the trend was. Tangy, a bit savory and definitely cool climate in its mien, it’s one of the great rosé traditions."

"In the Bardolino zone of Veneto, producers work with Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara grapes – the same varieties used in Amarone – to craft their rosato, which is known as Chiaretto. These are in a lighter style, a la Provence rosé from France, and have currant and delicate strawberry flavors, and are meant to be consumed within 2-3 years of the vintage."

Luminous onion peel-pink. Juicy grapefruit and ripe apple mingle on the nose and in the mouth with herb and hazelnut nuances. Impressively persistent and decisively stony on the medium-long finish which features a strong note of violet. A blend of Corvina and Rondinella.

A blend of organically farmed Corvina (80%) and Rondinella (20%), this elegant rosato opens with enticing scents of spring field flower, aromatic herb, ripe peach and a whiff of baking spice. Smooth, bright and juicy, the savory, easy-drinking palate offers wild red berry, tangerine zest and a hint of white pepper alongside tangy acidity.
