Tasting Notes: This Sauvignon Blanc has a bright nose with guava, passion fruit, and lemon leading to a mineral midpalate and soft undertones of crushed rock. The volcanic ash from the vineyard adds to this minerality and sustained finish. The Sauvignon Blanc is fermented in 100% stainless steel which leads to a very juicy and refreshing wine.
About Laberinto: Laberinto is a small winery owned by Rafael Tirado and his family in Colbun near a lake in an eastern mountainous region of the Maule Valley. He began to plant vines in 1993 and now cultivates 5 separate sections totaling 18 hectares of vines within their 80-hectare property.

"One last great Sauvignon Blanc I’ll note is the Labertino 2017 from Maule Valley in central Chile, south of the Maipo and Curico Valleys. This dazzling Sauvignon Blanc was made by Rafael Tirado, one of the country’s top consulting enologists, and he has crafted a wine with ripe melon and grapefruit flavors that is quite rich, yet also subdued, as this is an assertive, but not overly aggressive Sauvignon Blanc. Do what you can to locate a bottle."
