2017 Vintage Notes: Record-breaking winter rains, a mild spring, and multiple heat waves near the end of the growing season kicked off an early, fast-paced harvest over the course of six consecutive day.
Vineyard Notes: The Pinot Noir is sourced from Scribe’s organically farmed Carneros vineyard and Scribe's biodynamic estate vineyard on the west-facing slopes of Arrowhead Mountain. The soil is a combination of Carneros’ loamy clay and their estate’s volcanic gravel and loam.
Winemaking Notes: Rosé harvest started on August 23rd, with an imminent heat wave. The fruit was whole cluster pressed and fermented in stainless steel tanks for 38 days. The wine rested on lees until it was bottled on January 9th, 2018.
Tasting Notes: The Scribe Pinot Noir Rosé is dry and crisp showing flavorful notes of white flowers, minerals, citrus, and apple.
