2016 Vintage Notes: A warm winter in Sonoma encouraged an early start to the 2016 growing season. By the time harvest started in mid-August the weather had cooled, prompting fruit quality to soar and producing a beautifully-balanced vintage.
Winemaking Notes: The Scribe Rosé is made from Pinot Noir grapes grown on their estate on the south-west facing slope of Arrowhead Mountain. The grapes are harvested early in the season when fruit is full of the bright, high-toned acidity. The grapes were 100% whole cluster direct pressed, followed by a long, cold fermentation in stainless steel tanks to preserve vibrant aromatics.
Tasting Notes: This is energetic and fruit forward on the nose with a dry finish. Enjoy the flavors of passion fruit, wild strawberry, grapefruit and salty minerality.
