Tuck Beckstoffer Wine Dinner @ Bella Bacino's - April 20th

On:  04/20/2010
Location: Bacino's - LaGrange

Our Wine Series Continue with Tuck Beckstoffer

Tuck Beckstoffer is the guiding force behind an impressive array of vinicultural efforts: operating six distinct wine projects in California.

Tuck's father, Andy Beckstoffer, established Beckstoffer Vineyards back in the seventies. The Beckstoffers are widely considered the largest and most famous grape growing family in Napa Valley.  If you spend any sort of time in the NapaValley you will definitely see some of their vineyards and signage. These folks own and farm over three thousand acres of vines. WOW!

Fruit from some of their historic vineyards (To Kalon, Dr. Crane, and Georges III) is in great demand among premium wineries including; Paul Hobbs, Realm, Carter, Provenance, Tor, Schrader and others.

So if your upbringing blessed you with this kind of family background it should be no surprise that Tuck carries on and adds to the family wine tradition. Tuck's specialty is grape farming; he grew working among the vines and quickly learned to recognize high quality vineyards. As a result he very carefully selects premium sights for his own wines and has a plethora of family vineyards to choose from. You will never find bulk wine used for any of his labels, even the entry-level wines. Their focus is on over-delivering quality of wine at a reasonable price.

Join Tuck, share in his stories, experience his wines and you will understand; when the Beckstoffer name is associated with a wine, it is a virtual guarantee of quality in your glass. That has certainly been my experience in the three years I have tasted wines with young Beckstoffer.

Tuesday - April 20 - 6:30pm

$35 pp excluding tax and gratuity.  Light fare and artisanal cheeses will accompany  6 wines - maybe 7, if the newest wine can be bottled in time.

RSVP with Dan - bacinos@comcast.net or call 708-420-9600.

See you there, Dan.
