Founded in 1987, Quivira Vineyards & Winery is a small, family owned winery located in the heart of Dry Creek Valley in Sonoma County, California.

Quivira is committed to its vineyards, its wines and the people who help make them. Quivira specializes in small-lot wines from varieties that best showcase the unique terroir of the beautiful Dry Creek Valley appellation. The quality of our wines is an honest reflection our commitment to sustainable agriculture and our dedication to artisan winemaking.

Nearly ten years ago, Quivira brought awareness to its eco-practices with a creek restoration project to restore the Steelhead and Coho salmon population within Wine Creek, a small creek that runs through the Quivira estate. That project led to a deeper environmental commitment across the entire estate, and in November of 2005, Quivira was awarded their Organic and Biodynamic certifications for the entire estate vineyards. The same year Quivira also became a solar-powered winery.

Quivira 2008 Grenache Rose
Rating: 89

A knock-out rosé that balances vibrant fruit with racy acidity. Offers zesty floral aromas of watermelon and smoky spice, with layered strawberry and mineral flavors. Drink now. 378 cases made.

- The Wine Spectator (7/31/2009)

Quivira 2007 Petite Sirah, Wine Creek Ranch
Rating: 89+

The inky/purple-colored 2007 Petite Sirah Wine Creek Ranch reveals a more primary, intense nose of blue and black fruits, and forest floor. Dense and rich with sweet tannin, it is still very primary, but is loaded with potential. Give it 2-3 years of cellaring, and drink it over the following 10-15 years.
